The great region of Mont-Tremblant is in fact 2 mountains and 3 villages, each with its own particular appeal. Divided in 5 sectors, the Mont Tremblant Resort, the Village of Mont-Tremblant, the Downtown area of Mont-Tremblant (formerly known as St-Jovite), the Mont Tremblant National Park and the peripheral area.
The Mountains
Tremblant
The highest peak in the Laurentians has something for all ski and snowboarding enthusiasts! First and foremost, snow: the mountain receives on average 380 cm (12.47 feet) of snow each year and has the most powerful snowmaking system in Eastern Canada. Its 95 trails and 3 snow parks offer spectacular views and thrilling runs. And there’s no need to be an expert to take part: you can rent equipment on site and/or take lessons with one of the ski school’s 450 instructors. Finally, the pedestrian-only village at the base of the mountain guarantees a memorable après-ski experience!
Mont Blanc
The ultimate family destination, Mont Blanc possesses a certain je-ne-sais-quoi that takes a day of skiing and turns it into moments of pure pleasure. Of course, that’s hardly surprising considering its altitude of more than 300 metres (984.25 feet), the second highest peak in the Laurentians, and its 41 trails and 2 snow parks where skiers and boarders can test their limits. At the base of the mountain, there is a giant indoor playground for young children and kids who are less die-hard skiers, to the great delight of the children...and their parents!
Three Villages:
A unique resort
At the base of Mont-Tremblant, the resort transports you to a world that combines European ambiance with Québécois hospitality. Experience the magic of winter in a quaint mountain village, known for its legendary joie de vivre, countless activities, world-class sporting and cultural events, fine dining and incomparable nightlife.
A charming village - with character
It was here at this spot nestled along the shore of Lac Mercier that the first skiers came to unwind after hurtling down the slopes of the “trembling mountain.” Today, you still feel the connection with history in this picturesque village without giving up any of your modern conveniences. In these days of luxurious duvets and cafés, cultural and artistic activities, and excellent restaurants, the village of Mont-Tremblant is also close to the ski resorts and the region’s main attractions.
A lively downtown - with lots of attractions
In the downtown area, there are numerous stores and services serving the greater Mont-Tremblant region, yet it remains an enjoyable place to come and relax. In fact, this hub of activity has not lost any of its old world charm, as can be seen by the heritage buildings. It is also an ideal place to discover one’s roots at the many cultural and artistic events that take place throughout the year.
Mont-Tremblant National Park
A vast universe of lakes and rivers set against a mountain backdrop, this park offers you freedom and the chance to get away from it all. Parc National du Mont-Tremblant provides a rich mixture of Québec's natural and historical heritages. It is the biggest park in the network and the first national park to have been created in Québec. It proposes a variety of activities and discoveries that are sure to please. By canoe or on foot, skis or snowshoes, you will be surprised by the immensity of the territory. Offering nature at its best, Parc national du Mont-Tremblant is open year round and is bound to make an unforgettable impression on you.
