Chalet Permain

There are a range of leisure and other amenities on-site at the Cote Nord resort. Please look over our photos above and then read what we have to say about the facilities.

Pool and tennis complex: Only 400 metres from the chalet a 50ft swimming pool and spa pool are provided for the sole use of the guests from the chalets. The complex also has on-site showers and changing rooms and a pleasant decking area where you can soak up the sun in between swims. Right next to the pool is a tennis court for guests which can be pre-booked. There are also basketball rings.

Lac Superieur: Residents have access to the lake via a private beach and jetty next to the Auberge Caribou bar and restaurant. You can use canoes that are reserved for guests. Swimming is very safe and surprisingly warm in summer. You can also fish here. Beside the beach is a small children’s playground and further lake frontage.

River walks: Residents have access to the Boule River where you can walk through the forest to a small river beach and enjoy the gentle waterfalls.

Top class restaurant and bar: The Caribou Restaurant has an excellent reputation, with a wide variety of imaginative dishes to suit any taste. Bookings are recommended at weekends. You can sit outside and dine overlooking the lake at sunset. The bar in the Auberge Caribou serves is a great meeting place for guests. With friendly service, a roaring fire in winter, comfortable seating and lake views this can be your second home on vacation!

• Meals cooked for you in your cabin – perhaps an evening meal or barbecue cooked by one of the chefs from the Auberge Caribou

• Transport to and from the airport

Other local services
A short walk from the Auberge is a local store and gas station which stocks a wide range of essentials, good wines and beer. For larger supermarkets travel 10-15 minutes to St. Jovite, where you will also find banks, hardware, fishing tackle, clothes and many restaurants.

For more restaurants and bars and a range of gift and boutique clothes shops visit the ski resort, which is also a bustling summer resort too. Just 15 minutes round the other side of the mountain.
